In this engaging and accessible session, we will explore what AI is (no technical background required), how it is being used across industries right now and where it is headed, as well as discuss the opportunities and challenges AI presents for individuals, organizations, and society at large. Whether you are curious, concerned, or excited about the rise of AI, this session will equip you with the foundational understanding and big-picture insights you need to make sense of this rapidly evolving landscape.
Meet Our Presenter: Katie Sabourin
As Assistant Vice President for Digital Learning, Katie provides vision and leadership for digital learning and academic innovation that strategically differentiates Âé¶¹ÉäÇø from competitors both locally and nationally. Katie oversees the DePeters Family Center for Innovation and Teaching Excellence, which provides the Fisher community with collaborative leadership for the design and delivery of innovative teaching and learning activities across campus.
The Center supports the University in three main areas; supporting the effective use of educational technologies across all forms of teaching and learning, pedagogical consultation on innovative and inclusive teaching practices, and support for the design and delivery of learning for both enhanced delivery formats including online and hybrid and to alternative audiences both internally and externally to campus.
